Zoltán Mészáros launched Oliva Restaurant in 1999 as he had not been able to find a spot he would have preferred to frequent. So it is by no means a surprise that Oliva has been repeatedly listed among the best in Hungary. The kitchen here is dominated by Hungarian and Mediterranean flavours. But gastronomy is not everything you can write home about, the place is also known for its colourful cultural and musical life, as the owner is the founder of VeszprémFest.
