Folly is a family arboretum, the planting of which was started by the great-grandfather, Dr. Gyula Folly in the early 1900s. Since then, the family has continued to cultivate and expand the garden. Today the arboretum and the associated vineyard and winery are being tended and managed by the fourth generation, Réka Folly and her family.
The evergreen garden is a Mediterranean arboretum, an idyllic and picturesque place for relaxation and rejuvenation. The garden’s restaurant is open all year round, with fresh seasonal dishes made from local ingredients. The restaurant also offers delicious homemade syrups, coffee specialities, homemade cakes, Folly wines and a panoramic terrace. Celebrating its 120th anniversary in 2025, Folly is planning special events for the Taste Balaton festival.
