For more than a decade, the restaurant has been a symbol of fine dining on the western shore of Lake Balaton, in Keszthely. John’s Pub welcomes guests with unique dishes and a special atmosphere, whether for a family lunch or a business meeting: it has long been a staple in the city.
Their goal is to use local ingredients, prepared with love and expertise, to create dishes that truly reflect the flavors of the Balaton Uplands. Under the leadership of owner Zoltán Joó and chef István Szekeres, the restaurant combines traditional methods with modern culinary techniques in its cooking. They believe that gastronomy is not merely about eating, but an experience that brings people together and strengthens the community. During the Taste Balaton festival, one of their main goals is to showcase the diverse and rich flavors this region has to offer.
